What is Unity Ads?

Unity Ads is Unity’s ad network (Unity Grow) for monetization and user acquisition in mobile games and apps on Unity and other engines. Formats: rewarded video, interstitial, playable ads. Inventory is gaming-heavy — large in-app volume in casual and mid-core titles.

After merging with ironSource (LevelPlay mediation), Unity Ads is often bought via the unified Unity Grow dashboard alongside ironSource Network. UA models: CPI, CPA on level complete/purchase, ROAS campaigns with SDK revenue signals.

Inventory traits

  • Gaming-heavy — strong for game offers, less default fit for nutra/finance without careful targeting.
  • Rewarded video — user watches for in-game reward; higher engagement.
  • Playable — interactive game demo; high CTR, higher production cost.

Tracking

MMP and tracker postbacks supported. Structure: app → country → creative set → bid. iOS via SKAdNetwork. Reconcile install→deposit/event for gambling and IAP offers.

Vs. other networks

Vs. AppLovin: similar gaming inventory — test both on the same GEO. Vs. TikTok/Meta: in-game context, not social feed.
