What is RedTrack?
RedTrack is a cloud tracker for performance marketing and arbitrage. The vendor hosts the instance: you configure campaigns in a web UI, you do not install a package on your own Linux box. The site is redtrack.io. Subscription and limits (often tied to events or volume) are published only by the vendor; this page has no numbers.
As a class, RedTrack does what a self-hosted neighbour does: write the click, attach a click ID, accept a postback, build a report. The difference is operations and billing: no SSH and disk backups, but data and uptime sit with the vendor cloud. Architecture comparison is on RedTrack and ATracker, not in this definition.
What the cloud loop covers
A RedTrack campaign URL sits in the ad. The vendor records the hit, redirects to a landing or offer, and puts the click ID in the offer URL. The network or shop hits a postback (or sends the event through an integration). The dashboard uses the same cuts as the class: source, campaign, offer, GEO, creative if tokens were passed.
Cloud trackers usually ship connectors to ads accounts (spend, sometimes conversions back into the platform) and network templates. Outbound signal into Meta/Google/TikTok via Conversion API or equivalent is a common SaaS module; that optimizes the ads account, it does not replace payout accounting in the tracker. Which integrations exist on which plan changes — read RedTrack’s docs, not a cached third-party review.
Why teams pick cloud instead of a VPS
Launch without a sysadmin: DNS on the vendor tracking domain or a CNAME, a working cabinet on signup day. Redirect scaling and updates are RedTrack’s problem. At higher volume the bill is the subscription and/or event tiers: more hits, higher invoice, even if the feature list is unchanged. Self-hosted tools (Keitaro, Binom) move that ceiling onto hardware and an instance license.
Click data lives with the provider. Export, retention, staff access, and jurisdiction follow the SaaS contract. For teams that need “raw logs only on our disk,” that is an argument against cloud, not a defect of this product by itself: the model is different.
Siblings in the same class
Voluum and BeMob are also vendor-hosted trackers on a subscription. They differ in UI, automations, integrations, and price grids — not in the click + postback principle. Do not confuse RedTrack with an MMP or with GA4: it is not AppsFlyer and not a site-session tag.
What RedTrack is not
- Not the “tracker” category. The category has its own article.
- Not a self-hosted license. The server is not yours until you move stack.
- Not an affiliate network and not a DSP.
- Not a comparison landing. No list of “reasons to leave RedTrack.”
