What is Binom?

Binom is a tracker for media buying and arbitrage. The product started as self-hosted: you run it on your server, clicks and reports stay with the instance owner, and the vendor does not bill every click. The site is binom.org. The same vendor also describes a hosted/cloud option if you do not want to administer Linux yourself; the accounting core is the same. Prices exist only on the official pricing page.

High-volume buyers often name Binom next to Keitaro: both are self-hosted, both count click → offer → postback. They differ in UI, objects, license, and who installs the OS. That is not a ranking. Stack pages: Binom and ATracker and Binom vs Keitaro.

The accounting loop

A Binom campaign receives the ad hit, writes the click, issues a click ID, and redirects to a lander or offer. The ID goes into the partner URL. On conversion the network hits Binom’s postback. Reports use the usual cuts: campaign, offer, lander, source, GEO, device, tokens. Extra events beyond a single “sale” exist if the network sends them as separate postbacks or parameters.

On a landing off the tracker domain teams usually place an LP pixel (or equivalent) so the browser can attach the visit to the same click row when the user did not pass through a full tracker redirect. Without that, the pre-land → offer join breaks.

Objects

  • Campaigns — traffic entry and rotation rules.
  • Landers — pre-landers (local files or a remote URL).
  • Offers — affiliate URLs with macros.
  • Traffic sources — token maps from the ads account.

A public API reads and updates those objects from outside. Imports into other trackers typically pull campaigns / offers / landers / sources, not “the entire click history as one pack” — raw logs stay on the source server unless exported separately.

Server and volume

Self-hosted Binom is bounded by hardware: disk for logs, CPU for redirects and reports. The vendor license typically does not meter clicks the way a cloud event tier does. A hosted plan from the same vendor moves ops to their side — closer to SaaS in operations, not a different product brand. Current OS and minimum RAM live in Binom’s docs on the install date; this page does not pin versions.

What Binom is not

  • Not the class definition. The class is tracker. Binom is one product.
  • Not Keitaro. A self-hosted neighbour with different streams/objects and a different installer.
  • Not cloud Voluum. Voluum is vendor-hosted and usually meters events in the subscription.
  • Not a comparison article. No “move your stack” conclusion.
