What is Search Traffic?
Search traffic is visits from search engines via user queries: paid (Google Ads, Yandex Direct, Baidu Ads, Microsoft Advertising) and organic (SEO). Performance marketers value search for high intent — the user is actively looking for a product, service, or solution.
In arbitrage, search is used in finance (loans, insurance), legal leads, B2B, e-commerce brand and non-brand campaigns. Brand bidding on advertiser trademarks is often forbidden in offers.
Paid search
- Keywords — exact, phrase, broad match; negative keywords are critical.
- Quality Score / CTR — affect CPC and position.
- Landing relevance — query/page mismatch raises CPC and bans.
SEO traffic
Slower to scale but no direct ad spend. Grey-hat arbitrage uses doorway/parasite schemes (black-hat); white-hat uses content sites for lead gen.
Tracking
gclid / yclid pass in URL; tracker and analytics link conversion to keyword and ad. Google Enhanced Conversions and offline import need CRM match or hashed data.
