What is Revenue Share (RevShare)?
Revshare (revenue share) pays an affiliate a percentage of advertiser revenue instead of flat CPA. In gambling, the base is usually NGR (Net Gaming Revenue): wagers minus player winnings and bonuses; in subscriptions, a % of rebills.
vs CPA
CPA delivers fast, predictable cash; revshare delays payout but scales with retained-player LTV. Operators call revshare a “long” model: negative weeks early, profit on a 30–90 day horizon. Hybrid (CPA on FTD + revshare) blends both.
How it is calculated
The offer sets the % (30–50% of NGR is common in iGaming). Negative carryover rolls player winnings forward if they beat the house. Payouts are often monthly with holds and reconciliation against network dashboards.
Risks
Attribution fraud, shaving (hidden NGR cuts), opaque deductions. Reconcile postbacks/reports with MMP or network dashboards.
