What is Bounce Rate?
Bounce rate is the share of visits where the user left without meaningful engagement: single page, short session, no CTA click. In analytics (GA and similar), bounce is a one-page session without a second hit.
Interpretation
High bounce often signals ad/landing mismatch, slow load, bot traffic, wrong GEO, or device mismatch. Not always bad—a one-page form LP may convert while GA counts bounce if events are missing.
In arbitrage
Buyers compare bounce by source and pre-land vs direct offer. Spikes on new creatives warrant LP speed checks, cloaking errors, geo redirects. Trackers record clicks; bounce is web analytics, not tracker-native.
vs CR
Low bounce does not guarantee conversion; high bounce does not rule out CR on aggressive one-step LPs. Review with time on page and CR.
