What is an Ad Account Ban?

An ad account ban (disable) blocks access to the ad account and billing for serious or repeat violations: cloaking, fraud, prohibited verticals, billing limit evasion, payment chargebacks, suspicious activity (sharp spikes, multi-accounting).

Effects: campaigns stop, balance frozen or held (platform and appeal dependent), same Business Manager / payment profile restricted.

Sanction levels

  • Ad level — disapprove individual ads.
  • Account restriction — spend caps, limited features.
  • Permanent disable — full ban with low recovery odds.

Workaround vs. recovery

Farming new accounts is grey/black with network ban risk on payment/fingerprint. Legit path — appeal with proof of fixes, sometimes new compliant entity. Prevention is cheaper: domain warming, white-hat landings, clean payment history.

In arbitrage

Bans are operational cost in heavily moderated verticals. Model account cost, agency accounts, appeal time in unit economics.
